Charlton Kings In Bloom (CKiB) is run by a group of unpaid volunteers, supported by a number of keen gardeners, based in the village of Charlton Kings on the outskirts of Cheltenham in the Cotswolds.
Every Year we hold a number of fund raising events which are open to anyone including a Gardening Talk from a guest lecturer, a Plant Fair and a Garden Trip.
Any funds we raise are spent on planting projects throughout the village. As well as planting spring bulbs in various locations we also provide black planters at various points around the village and look after seasonal planting of the War Memorial.
Our aim is simply to promote gardening as a community activity and, in doing so, we hope to make Charlton Kings and even lovelier place in which to work & live.

Charlton Kings in Bloom was asked by the Parish Council to tidy up and replant part of the Precinct. We along with a number of other volunteers did this on Saturday 13th November.
This was a significant amount of work including site clearance, pruning, planting of shrubs and planting of many bulbs. It is credit to the hard work of everyone involved that the project was complete on the Saturday.
The Parish Council and CKiB hope that everyone will enjoy the extra colour and diversity of planting. It will of course take time for the new planting to develop fully.
